well.. if you already have the layout code, you need to post in at the bottom of your about me section. if that still doesnt work, then chose a different layout and try that.

How-To Install a Myspace Layout

So if you?re 0% experienced with the HTML/CSS world, then you are probably wondering, ?How the heck do I put these in my Myspace??

Well, okay, let me explain:Pretend this is code.

^Pretend that is the code under the layout image. Select it all (youcan left click and hold, and drag to select all of the text, or rightclick in the box, select copy (or press CTRL + C to copy text)?

Now, go to your MySpace (Myspace.com). Now, go to ?Edit Profile?, and edit under the category ?About Me? Now, above or below your info already IN the ?About Me? category, paste (right click + paste, or CTRL + v), and wah-lah! Your code is inserted into your myspace. Now, click ?Preview?, and then to assure your decision, click ?Submit? on the following page.

Now you should see your new Myspace layout when you go to View Profile

The numbers and symbols are fine when you view it...when others view your profile they wont see all that...you can also get more layouts and backgrounds from pimp-my-profile.com search, copy and paste....after awhile you'll get the hang of it...i swear its not so bad...lol...good luck!

MySpace is a social networking website offering an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music and videos internationally. It is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California, USA,[1] where it shares an office building with its immediate owner, Fox Interactive Media; in turn, the owner of Fox Interactive and therefore MySpace, News Corporation, is headquartered in New York City.

According to Alexa Internet, MySpace is currently the world's sixth most popular English-language website and the sixth most popular website in any language,[2] and the third most popular website in the United States, though it has topped the chart on various weeks.[3] The service has gradually gained more popularity than similar websites to achieve nearly 80% of visits to online social networking websites.[3] It has become an increasingly influential part of contemporary popular culture, especially in English speaking countries.[citation needed]

The company employs 300 staff[4] and does not disclose revenues or profits separately from News Corporation. With the 100 millionth account being created on August 9, 2006,[5] in the Netherlands[6] and a news story claiming 106 million accounts on September 8, 2006,[7] the site reportedly attracts new registrations at a rate of 230,000 per day. As of September 7, 2007, there are over 200 million accounts.

try hotfreelayouts.com you don't have to download anything! just click on what you want and paste the text that they give you in your "about me" section in the edit profile part. They tell everything to do anyway. The best part is free and they've got thousands of layouts to choose from!!!

Try it!!

Can anyone explain in Myspace.....?

I will give this my best go

So basiclly, when you find a layout/icon/etc. on a webpage such as mywackospace.com or some other webpage with myspace stuff, you have to find the "code" for it, which is probably the thing u were pasting. Be sure to get all of it, and nothing other than the code.

Then paste it into your profile in "edit my profile"

If its a layout people usually past it into about me but you can past icons and other things in any section you want.

Then, if you still see the code/numbers/etc. on your profile, if there arent many, write them down, find them in the code u pasted, and delete them while in "edit profile"

This might be a bit tricky, but ive done it. Some things give you these "webpage icons" of where you got the "things", which really bugs me, and by using that tech. i got rid of that 2. Its usually the end part of the code.

Be sure to copy and past only the code, nothing else!!

It could be that the thing you are trying to put into your profile has a code error, in which case there is not much you can do.

Hope I helped :)

You asked a question that does not have a simple answer. However, what you see when you copy and paste is called CSS code. Whenever you open a web page in your browser (i.e. Internet Explorer or Firefox), the browser reads the code that a designer creates so that you can view the page. To see an example of the code behind any given page, right click on your mouse anywhere on an active page and choose "view page source". The code you see is called HTML. Myspace allows a user to update their page with CSS code. CSS stands for "Cascading Style Sheet". What is does is gives your page a style beyond the basic HTML code. Like HTML, CSS has it's own code. For example:

%26lt;style%26gt;

body{background-color:white;color:blue... sans-serif;}

%26lt;/style%26gt;

The above code changes the background color of a particular page white, changes the text to arial or any available san-serif font, and changes the color of the text to blue.

To answer your question: the ease of using CSS code to transform you Myspace page is dependent on your knowledge of CSS. It may be easier to copy and paste the code from sites to get your myspace page to look the way you want it. You can learn HTML and CSS from several very good sites. I use www.w3schools.com for my web-coding needs.
